Scholarship award winner There are less than 200 students in the entire United States that have earned the designation, The First Tee Scholar. The First Tee of Salina Chapter has EIGHT of these students in our program!
Aaron Rhodenbaugh has been selected as The First Tee Scholar for 2005. Aaron is attending Kansas State University as a Scholar of The First Tee. Congratulations Aaron!!
Harry Venetta has been chosen as a Scholar for The First Tee for 2006. Harry is attending college in Kansas City. Congratulations Harry!
Nick Hardesty has been chosen as a Scholar for The First Tee for 2007. Nick attended Coffeyville Community College and has transferred to Henderson State University in Arkansas. Congratulations Nick!
Both Jordan Nixon and Kevin Hostetter were chosen as a Scholar for The First Tee in 2008. Both are also playing golf in college. Jordan is attending McNeese State University in Louisiana. Kevin is attending Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. Congratulations Jordan and Kevin!
Hannah Martin and Ryan Wofford have been selected as a Scholar of The First Tee for 2009. Both of these students are from Salina South High School and began college in the fall of 2009. Hannah plays golf for Wichita State University and Ryan attends Kansas State University on a prestigious First Tee Scholars Scholarship. Congratulations Hannah and Ryan!
Taylor Wilson is our newest Scholar of The First Tee, Class of 2010. Taylor attends Salina Central High School and will begin at Kansas State in the fall of 2010. Congratulations Taylor!
Scholarships The First Tee has many scholarship opportunities for participants in the Life Skills and Leadership program. As participants reach levels of certification, they are eligible to apply for the many opportunities. We hope that many participants in The First Tee of Salina will benefit from these opportunities. PACE Resource Center
The First Tee PACE (Providing Assistance for Careers and Education) Resource Center was created to equip eligible participants (ages 13-18) and their parents with information and resources to learn more about applying for college, college scholarships, and career exploration.
